Visited the Saturn V at the US Space and Rocket Center today. Dropped the minion off for Space Camp and did a quick walkthrough. Always good to see the beast.
Camp is running at 25% capacity. All the precautions that you would expect. It will be interesting to find out how his experience is when it’s over. We had all the expected discussions about sending him or not and went for it. He wanted to go and we evaluated what they were doing and we re comfortable with it.

Hope he has fun and stays safe - Space camp down there in middle school is one of my favorite childhood memories.

We took spacecamp off this year. Would have picked them up on Friday. We were worried about safety, but also the quality of the experience. We let them keep the money for next year.

I can’t imagine how they made it to Saturn with such old technology.

Totally understand. You likely got the same emails that we got. I’m hopeful that the light attendance may result in them getting to spend more time on the good stuff.

Spent nearly 12 years in the aerospace industry and never made it to KSC. Missing out on this (Saturn FTW! ) and a shuttle launch are two of my biggest regrets, while working in that field.

I’ve already got a few books on my plate, including that Midway history you recommended, which I ordered. But this looks good. Thanks!
